The 2-Day Ear and Hearing Care Program organized by the Suleiman Hearing and Educational Foundation (SHEF) in partnership with the Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board concluded successfully today, 5th December 2024, at the Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital.

Highlights of Day 2:

Clinical Demonstrations: Participants engaged in hands-on sessions where they applied the techniques learned on Day 1. This included ear examinations, basic treatments, and practical management of hearing-related cases.

Special Guest Appearance: The program was graced by the esteemed Executive Secretary, Private health institution management agency (PHIMA) Professor Salisu Ibrahim, whose presence added value and motivation to the event.

Presentation of Equipment: Professor Salisu formally handed over essential ear and hearing care equipment to selected healthcare facilities. This gesture will greatly enhance the capacity of these facilities to deliver quality ear and hearing care services in their communities.

The program concluded with closing remarks that emphasized the importance of sustaining ear and hearing health initiatives across Kano State. Participants expressed their gratitude for the knowledge gained and the resources provided, promising to put them into practice in their respective health centers.

This impactful program has set a strong foundation for improved ear and hearing care in Kano State, and SHEF remains committed to supporting health workers in their vital role of serving their communities.
