On the 9th of February 2025, the Suleiman Hearing and Educational Foundation (SHEF), in collaboration with the Director of PHIMA, conducted a comprehensive ear and hearing screening program in Tofa Local Government Area (LGA), Kano State. This initiative was aimed at improving access to quality ear and hearing healthcare for the people of Tofa, particularly those who might not have easy access to medical specialists.

The event was unique as it combined expert screenings with practical learning for trained local healthcare workers in Tofa, who observed and gained hands-on knowledge while experienced professionals attended to patients.

SHEF also sponsored its dedicated volunteers from Katsina State to participate in the screening, reinforcing its commitment to capacity building and cross-regional collaboration in hearing health care.
