Katsina State, Nigeria – In a landmark initiative, the Suleiman Hearing and Educational Foundation (SHEF) partnered with the Ministry of Women Affairs, Katsina State, to provide critical support to more than 450 women and children. This collaboration, aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable populations, focused on delivering essential services, including hearing care, educational support, and empowerment programs.
The joint effort saw SHEF providing hearing aids and access to community-based hearing care for children and adults with hearing disabilities, significantly improving their quality of life. In addition, the program included educational resources for disadvantaged children, ensuring that they have the opportunity to pursue learning without barriers.
The Ministry of Women Affairs contributed by offering vocational training and empowerment programs to help women build sustainable livelihoods. The initiative is designed to give them the tools they need to improve their socio-economic status and foster long-term independence.
